Is it possible to upgrade from wm 2003 to wm5 using a sd card?

I have a Samsung sch i730 with windows mobile 2003 installed. I was wondering if it is at all possible to upgrade to windows mobile 5 with an SD card being that I no longer have a sync cable.
 
You can upgrade straight from your phone if you go into the settings and select automatic upgrades it should update you to six. As for updating from a sd card.........im not sure if that phone is able to open regular executable files but its worth a try. ;)
