Is it possible to put another engine say a 307 or 350 in a 1984 cadillac sedan

deville that has the ole 4.1? It has the computer system with all the bells and whistles and is fuel injected. I would junk it, but it is in prestine shape. I am on my 3rd 4.1 motor with that car and with all the problems with that engine I had, I do not want to install another small crappy 4.1 My last re manufactured 4.1 I had put in only got me 55.000 miles b4 it took a crap. any input would be helpful...thanks.
 
I put an Olds 350 in my 81 Diesel El Dorado. It was quite a project, but if you are mechanical and can do some fabrication then it is doable. You need the computer and wiring harnesses and all engine accessories, so it is best to just buy a donor car and swap the parts you need.
