Is it possible to play a data cd in a 2005 Mazda 3 with a stock cd player?

There is a media button located on the dash next to the cd, am/fm buttons, but I'm thinking it is an aux. for an mp3 player. My friend's Toyota Yaris is able to play 120 songs on a cd in that car, but it's a 2006.
