Nope, exercise is ideal for weight loss, even though diet is 80% of the equation, but that is only because you need to eat right to fuel your WORKOUTS!
This may be coming off as rude (which by all means I am NOT trying to be, it just irks me when people try to lose weight, but then refuse to work for it), but why don't you want to work out? If you refuse to work out, but eat right, you'll lose weight, but at less than half the pace than if you had a strong exercise routine. Fitness is not for lazy people!
