I have a Mustang GT with the Shaker 1000 receiver. I want to install a subwoofer system to it, so is it possible with the stock receiver that i have? I was thinking of installing a Kicker amp.
yes, you need a line out converter, it cost like 10 bucks from walmart or best buy
however if you change the receiver to a aftermarket one with rca plugs in theback, you will have much better sound quality
if you cannot, or do not want to, change ur stock receiver, i would look into factory sound processors such as jl audio cleansweep, mtx re-q, rockford fosgate 3sixty.1 or .2
are u talking pluging you amp into your stock head unit if so it is posible but u will have to buy adaptors and it is a hassle u would save ur self alot of time to just buy a good radio at wal mart or best buy that have RCA plugs in back of the radio. hope i have helped
