hi i heard today that you can get laptops with the internet built in that you will have no bills with ,is this true because i dont think it is?

No...the internet is a worldwide network of interlinked computers.

You can buy a laptop with a built-in connection to the 'net or web. Theses are modems, ethernet cards (commonly called LAN cards), or Wi-Fi. The first two plug into the 'net via wires into a modem, and can go to your ISP via telephone lines, or your local cable company.

Wi-Fi is easier to use (once set-up), but is also more costly, since you also have to pay for a Wi-Fi connect fee in most places.

Good Luck!

Please don't buy a laptop until you learn a bit more about what they are, what they do, and just exactly what the Internet is.

In the early 90's we used a service called NetZero, which was free with advertising displayed on your desktop - In today's world we call that spyware(yes I am laughing at that too), but none-the-less when a computer claims it has "Internet Built In" they may be referencing the capabilities are there, but you still need to pay for it. Another thought could be that "The internet is free.....for 3 months.....then you pay is your life savings."

Although the days of NetZero are gone (gone in the sense that internet is cheap enough that we shouldn't need to use it), there still are options for free dial-up internet.
