Is it possible to get financial aid in my case?

i'm a California college student and i've applied for jobs in several places, but i'm sure because of my busy school schedule i'm never getting hired. the economy sucks too.

my dad makes too much money to be placed in the normal bracket of eligibility for financial aid. But see, the thing is my parents have a lot of debts. So basically with the mortgage, car payments, insurance, credit card bills, etc etc. there really isn't much left to go around. kinda just goes towards groceries and gas.

i typically get about 100 dollar allowance from my mom, who also works part time to try make ends meet, to cover my gas expenses from commuting to and from school every day.

So in other words, i guess my dad makes a pretty good income, but it does not mean we're sitting on any wealth here because everything from the paycheck is being used each time it comes.

The fall semester just started and i'm finding myself trying to pay for all the books and required materials. I'm at least splitting costs with my girlfriend for textbooks so we just share since we have the same classes. I'm also in AFROTC in a different school and i gotta pay tuition for that and since its a university its pretty pricey compared to my community college. they also want me to buy the parkin gpermit for that university which is like 160. i dont think i'm going to do that, but yeaah.

to restate this in simplest form....my monthly income is at max 100 dollars, and is an allowance primarily for gas expenses from my mom. I can't really qualify for financial aid because my dad's income is too high, but all of the money he makes goes toward debts, so its not usable.

is it possible for me to get some type of financial aid??
My dad is a US Navy veteran with 60% disability, so I do receive the CalVet feewaiver for tuition. but it's not money. it just waives my tuition fee.
