i was watching tv and it was this show called murder. i'd never seen it before on tv and i thought it was a csi show, it was only like 10pm. it showed these two teams who were trying to figure out who killed these two people and one of the suspects was the peoples daughter. so i thought it must be one of those fake shows because it would be so disrespectful to show this kind of thing on tv, a real murder. they kept showing these flashes of blood on walls and beds and heads in puddles of blood. but then they were talking about an autopsy and they went into this room and there were these two people, one with only half a head (it was all bloody) and the other with a bloody giant hole in his chest. so i looked it up and it was real, and that girl killed her parents and those were their bodies. i read she killed them because her dad threatened to report her older boyfriend to the police for having sex with a 16 yr old. its just disturbing me so bad i dont know how ill be able to sleep

the program guide thing even said it was suitable for those 12 and up

Talk to someone about it, a friend or a counselor.

Most likely, it will just take time. I saw a picture of a murder victim once and it was pretty nasty. I forgot about though.

I would sue them for money, then forget about it by filling your head with images of what you can buy off your emotional distress case [half joking]

it is extremely difficult to consciously erase any uncomfortable images from your mind, but over time, these images will fade. I understand you may have some bad nights of sleep in the short term, and if they (bad images) persist beyond a week or two, i'd also say talk to a therapist. What you are experiencing (images of unpleasantness) is fairly common, but i also understand it will take time to recover. Good luck.
