Is it possible to convert a 4.6 ford v8 to a carburetor engine?

i would like to take a older 1991-1999 modular engine and strip it down to build a small block engine for a pulling truck but i want to convert it from fuel injection to carburetor.
 
It is possible. You'll have some money into it, but it is possible. My friend took an FI 5.7 from a 199 suburban and put it in his '85 monte carlo where a 5.0 carburated used to be. It was a lot of work and some money but he did transplant it successfully with a carburated top end on it.
