Is it possible to be 'self educated'?

I do not go to school, and my parents are currently not available to 'home school' me. I do, however, have access to a computer and the library. Does anyone have any advice or guidance in the area of self education? As I recall, President Lincoln read endlessly which was how he became so well-spoken.
Any help would be appreciated.

Of course it's possible! Do what you do - nothing and no one can stop you - you are the author of your own story, and the artist of your own canvas! Keep it up, it's to be admired!

If you can read and then can understand what you have read, you can teach yourself anything. The sky is the limit. Go for it. Good luck.

Why are you not going to school? It's the law you know. And you are going to have one hopeless future if you don't graduate with a high school diploma.

Read lots of books on several different topics. Read newspapers and news magazines (my favorite is the Economist), and research the background information on some of the articles. You should also look up forums where people debate politics or discuss literature or other things. They help with organizing your thoughts quickly and coherently.
