Is it possible that the fathers eye colour is more dominant regardless of

whether it's light or dark? Just something i've been noticing a lot lately. For example...my mother has dark brown eyes but my father has blue-grey eyes which both my brother and I have. The other day i saw a picture of a lady with her 2 daughters..the girls and the mother all looked very alike except that the mother had very dark eyes and the daughters had blue and green.

But most people i have noticed with a dark eyed father and a light eyed mother have dark eyes...yet dark eyed mothers seem to often have light eyed kids (i mean if the father has light eyes)
