I have found as I am getting older that eating chocolate sends me over the edge, re depression, mood swings, aggression and crying. Not sure how much of it has to do with menopause, probably a lot but the chocolate is very coincidental. I am struggling with myself and sanity.
I understand the highs and lows that chocolate will give you, unfortunately it seems it just gives me lows. I presume that menopause it a big factor in the big picture. I don't know any more, am clutching at straws and trying to find a solution before doctors start changing my medications again or I end up going going nuts. I am sick of feeling flat, depressed, tired, cranky, teary, aggressive etc etc

usually chocolate is said exactly an opposite effect. like giving you energy and a feeling of happiness.

chocolate has a chemical in it that is ment to make you feel happier so it shouldnt make you feel depressed. i think it may just be coincidental

Studies have shown it to be true. There is a chemical in chocolate that causes a temporary mood high, to soon be followed by a major crash.

you're mood swings are probably linked to menopause. my advise would be to see a doctor.

an aunt went through this phrase - feelings of sadness, crying, moodiness.
