.. and probably causing or contributing to the climate and weather changes that we are experiencing now?

yes

magnetic poles of earth are shifting

If currently north becomes south and vice versa, there would be a great catastrophe

like end of time ; judgement day

no. the earth's axis is an "imaginary" line to represent where the earth is spinning along. global warming is caused by greenhouse gases which are emitted from various things such as automobiles and industry, which get trapped and thicken the atmosphere. the suns rays come in and would normally bounce back outwards towards space, but since the atmosphere has thickened and the ozone is being depleted, the suns rays are staying in the atmosphere, thus heating it more so than in the past.

The earths axis shifts all the time. No it doesn't have a big impact on climate change because the shift isn't that great from year to year. If your really thinking about the magnetic pole shifting, we're actually over due for it to happen, and we porbably won't be able to tell what has happened except by compasses being off.
