is it possible for a pregnancy test to be positive from having sex a week before that?

or would it be from before that? i was supposed to get my period on aug. 22 and i had sex on aug. 20th, then i took the test on aug. 29 and it was positive. is it possible for that test to detect pregnancy that early or was it from when i had sex 3 weeks before that?
 
yes i know because i had sex on october 29th and on november like 10th and it was positive i was only 13 days prego and with this baby i was 3 weeks when i found out on a hcg home test from the dollar store
