Is it pointless to begin toning exercises until you have lost the desired amount of

weight? Hi. I'm an eighteen year old girl, soon to be nineteen and I currently weigh 158 lbs. I know it says my name is Nolan and that I'm a guy, but I'm using my friends account because I don't have my own, and I just have a quick question. I weighed in the 120, 125 area and just recently gained quite a bit of weight. I've been running every day, drinking water and eating healthily. I keep reading that you should lose the weight before you start to tone your body, which makes sense. I understand that. I was wondering if its okay for me to do lots of cardio AND do exercises to tone my body at the same time? Is it pointless? Or will it make a difference at all? Cause if not, I'll just stick to cardio until i lose the amount of weight i'm aiming for, and then begin to tone my body. I'm just curious because I don't want to run every day and do exercises to slowly tone my body if it'll do nothing for me until the weight is gone.
