Is it pathetic or media hype?

Is it pathetic to add a profile to a singles site. I always viewd this for like losers and I want to to meet someone but I mean internet dating is suppoused to be bad. Is this just me being too sensestive to media hype?
 
Your lose. My son met his with that way and happily married 7 years.
It this busy hectic life you use what works. Safer then bar hopping and picking up some loser
 
It is acceptable for people to meet this way because we're busy in our lives and can't meet people properly. Unfortunately, the online dating sites have been swamped with weirdos who want one night stands and other strange things. It's dangerous and genuine people may get disillusioned.
 
For alot of people, internet dating is usually the very last resort. They've tried everything, and nothing seems to work.

If you've exhausted all of your options, then internet dating isn't necessarily a bad thing. Actually, internet dating isn't a bad thing at all. It's just that alot of people find weirdos on the internet. It doesn't work as well as meeting someone in person. Anybody can be anybody they want on the internet, and usually when you meet them in person they are not what you expect at all.

If you decide to add a profile to a dating site use something legit, like eharmony, or something similar. Good luck.
