married in a Indian Temple? I am American, my wife Eastern Indian and Hindu. We were married in a civil ceremony in New Zealand over a year ago. This is my wife's first marriage. It has taken over a year to get her visa and bring her over here to America. Now her parents are wanting to live with us until we have a Hindu Temple wedding. They say this is culture and they dont accept the civil marriage. My wife wants to make the parents happy but she doesnt care if she has a Temple wedding. Is this practiced in the Indian or Hindu community?
