Is it okay to spray paint my Xbox 360 headset?

Just got my wired headset today and wanted to spray paint it. im gonna cover the soft parts(the ear and mouth) with duck tape...will it mess up my headset?

No as long as you dont get the spray paint into the mic, and let it dry, you shuold be fine.

well i would suggest u dont do it cuz then it will interfare with the heat circulation which might lead into red ring problem

It probably won't, but when you peel off the duct tape it will peel off a bit of the foam too, leaving it a little haggard and it may damage your sound and audio quality, but not too badly. I would just suggest removing them altogether. I think that you can take them on and off without damaging it, and you wouldn't have to worry about taping them.

Don't put duct tape on the foam. Just pull the foam off then place some low adhesive tape (i.e. just scotch tape) over the holes on the mic and speaker and if you can over the adjuster. This guy talking about the RRoD having anything to do with the boom mic is a retard, it will not affect the system at all. As for messing up the head set, as long as you keep it out of the holes and don't let it dry inside the size adjustment then it will be fine.
