I have had mirena in for a year and i have gained 40lbs since. When I had my daughter my baby weight came off right away since I had to wait a few months before getting mirena and when I had it put in I started gaining really quick. Plus I've lost any interest in sex, I'm moody, I feel tired 24/7 and its not because of a new baby, my child has slept through the night since she was 3 months old. Also I've had acne breakouts more than ever, I've always had a clear face. Ever since I got it I've had major cramps and laying on my stomach gives me sharp lower abnominal pains. I called my doctor and they told me it would be $400 to have it removed since I do not have health care anymore. I dont know what else to do.
Is it "okay" to pull mirena out at home by myself?
