I'm thinking of maybe becoming a photographer and I wanted to start assembling a portfolio of my pictures. I have some pretty good photos, by they look even better if I enhance them in Photoshop. But I kinda feel that enhancing them is "cheating." Are there any rules? Do you have any further tips or suggestions for assembling a professional looking portfolio? Thanks so much!
Thank you guys so much! All of your advise and expertise is very helpful. Just to clarify, on most of my pictures, I enhance them to a very small extent. It's mostly just adjusting the saturation, contrast and occasionally making a photo black and white. The original pictures are still nice (in my opinion) but I feel the adjusting gives it more of the quality you would see in an ad. Thanks again for all your help!
