is it okay to lay on your back during sex at 38 weeks trying to induce?

is it okay to lay on your back and have sex with guy on top im 38 weeks and my doctor told me to have lots of sex to try to induce myself....... i need to know if that is okay and if not what positions would work??? i need to go into labor asap
 
I was on my back alot during sex when I was pregnant both times. I never had a problem. But I was told by my dr that sex doesn't really make you go into labor. He said that sex can make you dialate faster in the beginning stages of labor. But no sex after your water bag has broken because there is serious risk of infection to you and the baby after that. Good luck! I tried sex both times and was stuck at 11/2 for 2 weeks both times until I was given inducing medicine to kick start my labor.
 
i would say as long as you are comfortable and arent in pain or anything then its perfectly fine

but i think the most comfortable position for both of you would be "doggy style"....lol that sounds so dirty they need to come up with a new name for that!! but anyways it would be comfy cuz there is no baby putting pressure on you and you can breathe alot easier and no big belly to get in the way! good luck, hopefully it happens soon for ya!
