is it okay to get the same tattoo as my dance teacher?

my dance teacher has a tattoo of a dancer on her back which i also want. i have a picture of what i want its not exactly the same but they are both leaping dancers. this is my last year there and i was thinking about just waiting and not telling her im getting it but i feel like i should ask if its okay if i get a similar tattoo . does it matter. should i talk to her or just do what i want

definitely ask your dance teacher if they're ok with it, don't just copy it like that. that's not cool.

so long as it's not identical, there shouldn't be a problem. you should never copy someone's tattoo completely because it's personal for them and holds meanings for them, they didn't just get it cos they thought it looked pretty, and neither should you.
