is it okay for my parrot fish cichlids to eat flakes?

my parrotfish doesn't want to eat pellets............so i tried feeding them flakes....and they liked it!! but is it good for them?

as long as the nutritional value is properly balanced and you give them enough then it's perfectly fine, but you should supplement it with live foods like brine shrimp and worms
