is it okay for a twelve year old girl to watch Degrassi?

i'm asking this because my mom said it's too inappropriate and i love the show and i don't want to stop watching and i'm going to be thirteen. i took all my classes of health that talk about all the things that happen in the show and i told her that already but she doesn't agree.

what are your thoughts on a twelve year old watching Degrassi? is it okay for a twelve year old?
