I have a fish, Mars, short for Mario, and he blows bubbles sometimes. It's usually after being fed, or after being moved to another room. Is this okay?
He's a Betta. I only have him. No other fish.

yes bettas blow bubble nests when they are healthy. if he were to mate, he would have the eggs put inside the bubbles to protect him.

Betta's blow bubble nests for mating.
if you were to have female bettas with him they would lay their eggs in his nest and he would take care of them there =)
