Is it ok to watch dishes with the powdered Ajax?

The dishes and sink will be damaged in the same way that using fine grit sandpaper would. By using abrasives, the surfaces get fine scratches that hold stains and bacteria. Powdered abrasives like Ajax and Comet contain chlorine (ozone layer destroying) and phosphates (waste water polluting), so they are not the best for the environment.

no, the chemicals in powdered ajax are not meant to be eaten off of. So the residue left on your dishes is not healthy. Secondly, it will scratch your dishes. Third, it disturbs me that you have to ask. lol If you are hard up for some washing agent and are out of dish soap, use vinegar and water, or use ivory body soap on a rag. Good luck.

I remember back before there was liquid dish soap. We used to use powdered soap all of the time to wash dishes. You have to rinse well. But since they have better things now, I wouldn't do it all of the time, anymore. Plus I never buy powder anymore. The liquid does a better job.
