yeah its okay just don't overdo it like some people do with japan because then you end up looking pathetic.

...American culture? edit @ ali, yeah like i said, i am most comfortable with a mix of hispanic and American culture,
I was born into American white culture, and I don't identify or really relate to it at all. I researched my familys history and their origins were germany, ireland, native american, and some sort of hispanic, but my grandfather was adopted so i can't find out much.

people always ask what race i am as i can look like i could pass for several races. somewhat racially ambigious.

after learning and becoming friends with people of hispanic culture (both white and mestizo peoples) i have realized that this is the culture and language i love and identify with the most.

i have a white name, parents that are white but open to my ideas and love of cultures.
when asked i tell people i have german, irish, native american, and i believe cuban-hispanic heritage.
i love to speak spanish and identifiy most with spanish culture, or actually a mix of american and spanish culture even though my family does not.

any opinions? is this ok?
oh and do people of other cultures hispanic, itallian, indian, asian, not come here and assimilate to american culture? they adopt american culture so its okay to adopt another culture/lifestyle?
