Carlos 2000? I took my car to Jiffy lubethis morning for an oil change and they told me i needed to get my trasmission flushed that i needed it really bad. so i did get the service done. well when i left my tramission started to slip. So can i Zoo Jiffy Lube? or am i at fault because now i was told by a mechanic i need to get my trasmission rebuilt.

First off I would never go to Jiffy Lube: http://search.yahoo.com/search?ei=utf-8&fr=slv8-acer&p=jiffy%20lube%20consumer%20complaints&type=

If you have kept up your maintenance on your transmission, it should NEVER require a transmission flush, for the most part it's a ripoff.

It may be slipping because they put in the wrong fluid type, its leaking, or they didn't fill it all the way.

generally your not supposed to have your fluid flushed after 100,000miles, your just supposed to change it and not completely flush it out. i also dont think you can Sue/zoo them because they did not force you to flush it. you could try but you probably wont win.

I don't think you can Zoo them. it's your fault for going to Jiffy Lube.. Doesn't everybody know that place is filled with crooks?

Well, if you never changed it you could need a rebiuld. My car i the book says change trans fuild every 15,000-20,000 miles and i do. 1996 grand prix. So far 250,000 miles no engine or trans problem yet. American cars need proper maintense or they will die.

i 100% agree with jason.

jiffy lube will tell you things you need when you really don't need it.

take it to a few more shops(NOT JIFFY LUBE) and see what they say. and don't go back to jiffy again. You can't "zoo" them, you might be able to get the guy who worked on your car fired though

it sounds like you went to long without getting your fluid changed. The flush probably caused the damage to appear but it didn't cause the damage.

if they didn't use the proper fluid or didn't fill it all the way or they didn't install the gasket right and the fluid leaked out, then maybe but it'll cost you more in legal fees and time. just take it up the tailpipe like the rest of us.
