My dad fed our dog with fish skeletons mid-sized(pressure cooked fish). Still alive after 3 days. But my question is Is it ok to feed dogs with fish - I mean do dogs have phobia with eating fish or not?

Do you mean your dad feeds your dog fish bones and live, living fish? You said still alive after three days???

Cooked fish "flesh" and "skin" are wonderful for dogs. Don't feed the bones... they are way too small and could easily get stuck in your dogs throat. People have been known to nearly choke to death on a stuck fish bone....

And if you dad is feeling live fish, make him stop. Its barbaric and very unkind.

Your dog is lucky. Raw would have been better cooked bone of any kind becomes more able to splinter. Its ok once in awhile to feed a
de-boned type of fish to a dog. But, not on a regular basis (too high in protein) NO BONES FROM FISH OF ANY KIND!

I feed my dog fish about 2 times a week. Usually sardines or salmon. Either canned or cooked. I NEVER feed my dog raw fresh fish as fish can carry lots of parasites. If the fish has been frozen for a certain amount of time I will allow him to eat it raw as being frozen for a period of time kills the parasites.

Fish is a good, low-fat source of protein, and has lots of Omega-3's which makes for great skin and a good coat.

My dogs eat canned fish, bones and all. Cooked fish is always deboned as the bones may get caught in the throat.
