Is it ok to feed a Betta Fish tropical fish food?

Yes hopefully it will. Betta's are picky eaters so you might have to go through a few different brands and types of fish food before you get to one it likes. Another concern is the fish you have, as Betta's and pleco's don't get along to well because they are both territorial and aggressive fish, and unless your tank is at least 30 gallons (it should be way more however) you are going to have some problems which will likely end in the death of a fish. Pleco's get to be a decent size at around 6-8 inches long, and so do many of the smaller sharks such as rainbow sharks, albino sharks, and red tail sharks (the last gets a bit longer), but silver (bala) sharks get to about 30cms, and so do black sharks (these last two need to be keep in tanks of over 100 gallons. What kind of shark did you have? And what kind of algae eater do you have?

I have recently added a algae eater, a Plecostomus Catfish, and a small shark to a tank with a Crown-tail Male Betta in it and they are all getting along fine. I would like to know if i could feed the Betta Tropical fish flakes or if i could feed the others the betta fish food?
