Is it ok to eat kosher meat?

I am aware that the preferable is Halal, but it's very hard to get here. There is no halal meat in my city, therefore you have to go out of the cities. We get halal as often as we can, but if we have to eat meat we eat kosher. Is that okay, being that it's cut the same?

If its slaughtered, its halal. Just make sure you ask before you buy.

i have the same problem, well almost my parents don't know im muslim so i don't know were to get halal meat!
