is it OK to celebrate a culture that is not yours?

For instance, a white American w/ no hispanic blood celebrating the Hispanic culture or asian culture?
 
who's to tell u it's not ur culture??? all a culture is, is a set of beliefs or things that u like to do or agree with. there's nothing wrong with that....ppl arent self evolved like most may think
 
Well Hispanic really just means someone from the Iberian Pinnesula, so I find it funny when Mestizos, Spanish speaking mullatos and Indians call themselves call themselves Latino. That is like Some Black American calling himself Germanic just because he Speak a Germanic language(English)

And yeah it is weird when people celebrate those holidays when it has no connection to them at all.
 
Yes it is fine. What is wrong with gaining more knowledge and understanding of various cultures? This gains awareness and respect and stops ignorance and racism. Nothing wrong in my opinion with having a appreciation for other cultures.
