Is it normal to feel somewhat alienated from your own culture?

Here's my dilemma, well simply put.. I just would like to ask what other feel about this. See the thing is, I came to the US from my native south american country when I was a small child, and now I'm heading into my 20s and feel alienated from my own culture. For example, when I come in contact with people of my own country here in the US, or my family in my native country for that matter, whether it'd be through the phone or other medium.. I feel that I have lost touch in the sense that my speak isn't the same, I don't enjoy the same things many people from my country would, neither do I enjoy their company or being around them for too long. It isn't that I dislike my culture, I just feel that I am very much separated from where I came from. Let me point out that I love America and everything it has given me, I enjoy football more than I do soccer and appreciate and understand this culture much more due to my upbringing in a stereotypical northeastern suburban neighborhood. Though I still speak my native Spanish, and enjoy Latin music that is about it. Basically my point is, whenever I encounter myself with situations where I have to confront my own culture and its people..I feel alienated, and feel guilty that I have missed out, but at the same time it makes sense why. Any thoughts as to what I should do to accept the fact that I am very much an American and not feel guilty and come to terms with my own culture even if I will never fit in the way a native from there would..It is hard to accept this reality at times..Any helpful input would be appreciated thanks.
