is it normal for sex to hurt?

I was just wondering if it is normal for sex that lasts a long time to hurt? my fiance always wants to be romantic and tries to make it last longer( you now, like in love stories and movies where it lasts for hours) but it always starts to hurt only after a few minutes. i feel bad because i always have to tell him to stop. i have tried to talk to friends but they must think i am crazy because they all wish it would last longer for them.and i talked to the doctor and they said try using ky or something like that, but it didn't help much. is something wrong with me?
 
No, you are not crazy at all. It hurts me too but I still haven't figured out exactly what it is. I would suggest seeing your OB, he or she should be able to help you! Good luck!
