is it normal for my fish to be moving really fast?

better check their skin for ick and other things, have you checked your ph? there are several fish antibiotics, but it sounds like the water balance is off. check the scales on your fish carefully and call your pet store and tell them the symptoms. its usually easy to treat, but if you don't take care, they will die fast.

hmmm..... i dont think this is normal. i mean, if one of your fishes died cause of that, then its not. maybe you should take them to the vet or something. or ask a fish expert or research on google.

i would get the water checked, it sounds like you have bad water conditions, which they want to get away from

you're suppose to do 25% weekly partial water changes with a gravel siphon, and replace with conditioned water

make sure you have 0 ammonia and nitrites
and nitrAtes should be optimally below 20ppm

Your fine for now, but keep and eye on them. Are they crowded in space?
Are you feeding them correctly?
If it continues with akward behavior head over to a fish/pets store like petsmart or something. They have proffesional help for free :)

What kinda fish are they? What's your water like? Maybe your water's so bad that they don't wanna be in it?

it depends what kind of fish they are. some are just like that. some act like that when they are stressed or when species that aren't compatable are mixed together.

my fish are moving really fast around the walls of my tank. does this mean something bad? one of them died recently from trying to jump out and it hit itself on the plastic roof. now im worried the rest are going to.

i think its fine, cuz ma sister had a fish and she use to do that.. or he? haaha
