Is it my alternator, battery or regulator? 1996 Dodge Stratus.?

I have a 96 dodge stratus and the battery light has been on for the last few days. I was driving to work today and I was listening to the radio, then is got all fuzzy and staticed. All of the sudden I look down and my radio was off. Like it just died. I was like that was weird. Then I drove about another mile and the car jerked hard. Then I drove another block and it jerked hard again and the motor shut off and I pulled off to the side of the road. Then the radio turned on again? But when I tried to start the car the car would try to turn over like once then just click a bunch of times. In my head I think it's the alternator... but maybe the battery or the regulator? I'm not sure. What do you think it is? Thanks for your help!

It could be both cuz if your alternater stoped working it would drain your battery and u would have probvlems like u had. Just check how many volts your alternator is putting out and check how many volts are in your battery. U can buy a voltage tester anywhere for around 30 dollars. If your car isnt starting u need a new battery to start it and then buy a voltage checker they r around 30 dollars and see if your alternater is putiing out enough voltage to charge your battery and keep your car running

It sounds like either the rectifier or the regulator is bad in the alternator. If it was the battery, you would have to jump-start the car but once you got it running the alternator would run the whole car without the battery's input. So get that alternator replaced and you should be in business. Good luck and I hope I could help!
