...boot Windows PE 2.0 & use it...? Is it legal(does not violate EULA or any other laws/agreements) if I dual boot Windows PE 2.0(Drive D
and Windows XP(C
& use the first to be a "recovery system". In this situation, I either user WinPE for making a backup/restoring of backup image of Drive C:. The making of a backup and restoring of the Drive C: image is done by ImageX(imagex.exe). And lastly, I will use format.exe(built-in in WinPE), and bootsect.exe(from a Windows Vista CD(legal)) to make my hard disk's boot sector NT52/NTLDR compatible.
Is it legal? As well as the usage of imagex and bootsect?
My Windows systems are perfectly licensed.
What if, supposedly, I just copied bootsect.exe from a Windows Vista CD of my friend(I don't have license to use Vista)?
If it is illegal to use Windows Vista's bootsect.exe, is it legal to use the bootsect.exe from Windows 7 Beta DVD?
Please tell me which is illegal if there's any, so I'll be knowledgeable about that.
Thanks.
