Is it just me, or does it seem like everyone is having sex really early in life?

one of my friends who is only a freshman in high school is already in a sexual relationship with her boyfriend. she lost her virginity last summer to some other guy. in my opinion, 14 seems a little young. can someone tell me if this is regular or if i am going insane?
 
It's happening so early. My little brother is in 7th grade and said that there is a pregnant girl in his grade and a couple in the 8th grade. People are taking away the real meaning of sex and turning it into like a casual thing. It's very disturbing and quite annoying.

I think part of it has to do with girls wanting to fit in and be liked and have all the attention on them. And high school boys will have sex with anything that looks easy. So a lot of the times it's the girls, not the boys. But personally I can't stand it I think it's repulsive.
