Yes and it also applies to cars as well.The only legal way to get round
this is to use them at organized displays and events for cars and or
motorcycles which will not be used on a public highway.Its not illegal
to have them fitted but you can`t have them on when riding/driving on the
public highway.I agree it`s BS but that`s the law here and you will end
up with a fine if you are caught.

Where I am, you can't have any neon lit while your riding. You can only turn it on when you're parked.
