is it harder for a guy who observes instead of talks?

i've had people call me shy and quiet, but actually I'm into psychology and I like listening to people talk and form opinions on them.
They say be more out there and talk more.
My personality is to sit back and watch....learn why they think the way they do.

is it harder to get a girl like that? lol instead of being assertive..
