Is it hard to get used to the smaller buttons on the blackberry?

When I first got my blackberry curve it took me a while to get use to the buttons but after a day or 2 it was like nothing. All u have to do is play with ur phone and to get use to how it works and the buttons but I'm very happy with mine :-D
 
I was thinking about getting one, but the buttons seem a bit smaller than the buttons on my lg voyager.
Are blackberries any good for storing cotact information, texting, and emailing? That's all I do anyways.
I am a heavy texter and emailer.
