Is it hard to get car dealerships to fix a problem with your car that is

still under warranty? I bought a car brand new in 2005. I have always had it serviced when it was due and only had it serviced at the dealership where I purchased it to qualify for extended warranty (instead of 3 years it's 10).

For about 6 months I have noticed a few noises and performance lacking from the car. Each time I get it serviced I tell the service people this, but still each time I get my car back from spending the day with them none of the problems I mention to them are fixed. The most common response I get is "we couldn't find any problem with that''.
I've been thinking about going to another mechanic and actually paying him to fully inspect every single thing on my car so I can get it in writing to show to the dealership.
Just really pisses me off considering you pay $240 each minor service and they don't even do anything. The invoice says they checked a lot of things but they have actually done nothing.

Your car is about 4 years old and you maybe have too high expectations to expect it to be just like new. Go for a ride with the service manager so you can point out the exact problems.

see if you can go to a different dealership ie if u have a chevrolet go to chevy dealdership a few miles down the road its kinda hard to douplicate the problem u have u know the old saing it makes the noise till u take it in to the repair shop good luck

The dealerships standard procedure is to run a computer scan of the vehicle and tell you if the computer shows any codes which identifies problems. Trouble is it all doesnt take in to account a problem with the computer itself.
Example: How do you know you were punched in the face if you were knocked out.
If you truely have trouble in this case it must be computer oriented or you are nuts, one of the two.

Don't trust them?

Do your own work then.

Don't like how doctors say you're fine?

Fix yourself.

Unless you're willing to actually turn the wrench on your own car, and verify whether or not anything needs done, then quit complaining.
