Is it hard to find a Ford 4.9L6(300 inline six) motor?

Since these engines (the 240 and 300 six) have been out of production for about 15 years, it might be difficult to locate one in a salvage yard. But these engines have a rock solid reputation for durability and power output and it's worth the search.

check ebay and salvage yards. Some companies sell rebuild. They haven't made them in years but they put them in a lot of different cars over several years.
