Is it fair to say that the two biggest headliners in WWF/E history were Austin and

Hogan? I've seen many people throw Rock in the same category as Austin and Hogan, but I disagree with that. Before you get on me, READ CLEARLY what I have to say

Rock was HUGE. He was EXTREMELY OVER when he finally found himself and perfected The Rock gimmick. He brought in fans. People loved him. He's definately HOF material and one of the biggest headliners in WWF/E history.

HOWEVER, as we all know, the poster boy and be all, end all for the Golden Era was Hulk Hogan. It was Steve Austin, and not the Rock, who was probably, majority speaking, the guy who ushered in the Attitude Era, because he was using elements of his Stone Cold character in the tail end of the New Generation Era, using language and mannerisms that would become the norm of the Attitude Era. You could kind of say Austin was the poster boy of the Attitude Era. Rock was also a huge name of that era, but he became huge AFTER the Attitude Era was ALREADY in full swing. So, for those who say "Rock and Austin ushered in the Attitude Era" are wrong. Austin was the one who was there to usher it in. Rock became huge, but after that Era was in effect. Rock also didn't revolutionize the WWF like Austin did with what his gimmick was.

Now yes, Rock did eventually surpass Austin in the MAINSTREAM world as far as a pro wrestler finding success outside of the business, but I am strictly talking in wrestling here

Does this make sense?
