Is it fair that China is claiming immunity from the upcoming climate change treaty?

aren't they huge green house gas and other pollutant emitters? what good is it for us to care for the environment if they won't cooperate?
Didn't the Kyoto Accord exclude them as well? Is this coincedence?
Phil M: we should lead by channeling a large percentage of wealth to poor & developing nations while others just reap the benefits? How long can we be leaders that way?
 
What do they care? Their economy is rolling and they are in the middle of the largest military build up outside of the cold war- all thanks to the American people shopping at Wal*Mart and buying their crap. They own a very high percentage of our national debt and the oil pipeline we built in Afghanistan will feed their growing addiction for decades. China is sitting pretty and there is very little anyone can do about it.
 
Well China doesn't have equal rights either, so why should we?

We're not China, we're America. If you want to continually refer to this nation as the Leaders of the Free World, then we have to LEAD.

Why are people so against less pollution? Global Warming or not, why are you against protecting the enviornment?
 
Yes, they are one of the worlds worst polluters, but they are still socialist enough to be declared exempt by the Neo-Marxist eco-bigots. Only "greedy capitalist" nations are blamed for the phony global warming. Socialist natioins are automatically exempt.
 
Only countries run by nitwits will fall for this climate change crap. Those countries should get rid of their nitwits. Can you think of any such countries?
 
I hadnt heard about it.

I understood that it was China, America and India who contributed the most greenhouse gases to the atmosphere. What makes them so special that they gain immunity?
