I recently read an article that stated that soda companies and other corporations are buying water rights to public water sources like fresh water springs. This sounds like shady business. What happens if a small community depended on that free water source and now a company like Coca Cola has it on lock down? Will states eventually put a cap on how much public water can be privately owned? How bad can this scenario get?
Is it fair or right that corporations are buying up all the water rights?
