Is it even possible to complain about the news? to who?

I am sick of all the news channels. I want news, not idiots shouting over eachother, giving opinion, cutting eachother off etc.

I have a few questions, how do I get them answered and isn't there supposed to be a governing body stopping the news channels getting out of control and acting like daily mail opinion spouting retards?

Why do they have a few interviews a day, but cut every single one of them off mid-sentence and say "i'm sorry we've ran out of time" ? Only to repeat the same thing for the next 4 hours?
I am sick of them all shouting and ranting all over the tv like children. Politicians seem to do it a disturbing amount. Professionals exchanging snide remarks live on air, yuck.

I am being serious here, not complainging, asking a question, the presenters are all so obnoxious that I cringe so hard whenever I see/hear a news channel. I had to watch the news for a month while waiting for my internet connection to be installed and it took me to the edge of sanity, and a day longer and there would surely have been a boot or a golf club wedged into the screen

I worry for any children having to witness such filth, like the god awful GMTV. Aren't they, along with adverts, supposed to have standards and not be giving out a bad impression to any children watching? I see them breaking rules and acting like idiots all over the place. So how can we get it sorted, short of the Daily Mail getting 30,000 people onto a bandwagon and writing a letter everyday ala the Jonathan Ross non-scandal scandal?
all channels! BBC + Sky News in particular
LOL dangerous, that was a hilarious line (don't know if it was supposed to be but I liked it)

I agree with you. The only way for things to change is to hurt them financially. (Except for NBC and MSNBC. They don't even care about money. They want there liberal views heard) It would take many many people complaining. Fox News has the most viewers because they do all that you complained about only less than the others. Even several hours of Fox makes me crazy. Start a campaign, get registered voters to sign a petition and you will win a medal.

Sound bites!! That's all we can handle and all we've been trained to listen to. We don't want the whole story, only enough to make us dangerous in a conversation. The whole story would probably nullify half the BS that's out there. So we go for as little information as possible generally speaking. I am of course not talking about anyone on these pages, we want the whole story, not just the attention grabbers. And besides, we have to listen to the advertisers, they pay the bills. Watch the BBC and European news teams. I found them much better than the flashy American News casts and broadcasters.
