pretty cool? And whats the top speed? I live in Eliot Me and i have to go to Rochester Nh (a long ride)and its a 93' honda xr200r and its only 800 dollars plus they just redid the motor and changed the muffler. Do u think its a good deal? Oh and the guy said it goes only 45 mph is that true?

It will have been geared for off-road use which means the top speed will be affected, in road form a 200cc 4-stroke i would have thought would have been easily able to hit 70mph. However, off-road bike are geared (sprocket ratios changed) for acceleration and low speed torque that is need off-road. According to google maps, your journey is only around 13 miles which is nothing really, try taking quiter roads if the speed is becoming an issue. Old dover road?

Please learn and remember that motorcyle riding is inherently risky, and any speed is fast enough to get maimed/killed. It's not how fast it goes, it's how safely you can ride it at your present speed. If badly, then SLOW DOWN is usually good advice. It CAN happen to you, & there are only 2 kinds of riders, those who have, & those who will-come off. Learn from others mistakes, it's cheaper & less painfull, & you might get to live a bit longer.

Why did he redo the motor? He put it back together correctly?
Those are great bikes and would be a good beginner bike. Be careful and take your time getting the hang of it. 45mph is extremely fast off road. After you get use to it you can change your sprocket configurations or carb and exhaust if you need to go faster. I suspect top end on the bike is plenty fast as is though.
