I have a kitten that I keep in the basement at night, and during the day she stays in the backyard. Is it cruel to not keep her in the house? She sometimes comes in the hallway when I go in the house, but what about when it's winter? Thanks alot.

I don't keep her in the house all day and night because of my mom. She says that it's good for her outside, but she just doesn't understand me!
