is it correct to judge people by the company they keep?

my sister has friends who are trash, my friend has friends who are all nut jobs, does this say alot about the person? I am confused because I have all sorts of people in my life, all ages, all types, what does it say about me?

You don't judge people but you can get an idea about them by who they have in their circle.
